Our mission statement:
To reach every tribe and tongue and people and nation with the everlasting Gospel and the Good News of Christ’s Eternal Kingdom … beginning here in Eugene, going to the Northwest, and into all the world.
Our understanding of the concept of Missions is: The endeavor to meet the physical, emotional, and mental needs of people, so that their spiritual needs can be addressed and satisfied by the Lord Jesus Christ. The location of Missions includes all areas of the world including our home town, our home state, our home nation, and foreign nations.
Our goal is to bring all peoples into relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It is our desire to facilitate and participate in mission works that Glorify God.
Because we want to educate Christians about how they can accomplish the command that as they go they are to make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them, and teaching them to observe all things God has commanded them (Matt 28:19-20), we desire to have a well thought out and organized missions program. Our program needs to provide all Christians the ability to participate in mission works. Recognizing that people are at different stages in Christian growth we need a program that is crafted to provide an increasing requirement of faith and experience. We need a well balanced program that allows participation for beginners that is non-threatening, takes little time, and is done at little expense to the participant. Further opportunities for mission work must supply increasing difficulty, commitment, and faith of individuals as well as the congregation as a whole. The desired outcome is to train people and encourage them to dedicate their lives in service to God either here at home or on a foreign field.
